Abstract
It is well known that activated carbon adsorption is one of the most effective technology to remove SOCs in the aqueous solution. In this study, were investigated the adsorption characteristics of activated carbon for reuse of water jet loom wastewater. For experiments, granular activated carbon were used. And dynamic adsorption process was conducted. Parameters studied in this study are the effects of amount of activated carbon as the major variable, initial volumetric flow rate and contacted times. Equilibrium concentrations were reached after the lapse of 2~3 mins. The optimal amount of activated carbons and initial volumetric flow rate for removal efficiency were 450 g and 40§¢/min. COD_(Mn) and COD_(Cr) removal efficiency were 96 and 95%, respectively. And various ions removal efficiency were high than 90%. It suggested that activated carbon was a useful adsorbent for reuse of water jet loom wastewater because of high adsorption efficiency.
